Wendy is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and has been a PADI professional for 35 years. She is the original company owner from the beginning, and her extended family has enjoyed Hahei since the 1960's.

She spends a great deal of time managing the Dive Store but sneaks out for a dive when possible, enjoying being involved with all levels of diver training. She is also a skipper on the dive boat..

Josh is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, our Free Diver Instructor and also a skipper on the dive boat. He studied at Otago Uni where he completed his BSc ecology, mainly in the Marine Science field, and is passionate about our environment.

He divides his time between the boat and underwater filming where he is in his element. Josh is a keen spearo and enjoys kite boarding, sailing of course the surf.

Emma has completed two Diplomas in Outdoor instructor and Education. She comes from a river background having worked for a number of summer seasons in Canada as a raft guide and white water kayak instructor.

You will find Emma in our dive shop or in the office answering emails. She also gets out occasionally on the boat. Any spare time you’ll find Emma under the water, catching a wave or hitting the river in a kayak.

Etienne is a PADI Elite Instructor and has been lucky enough to dive at many outstanding dive sites throughout the world - Asia, the Caribbean, Australia and now New Zealand.

He is our French speaking instructor in the Dive Centre, teaching in both French and English, enabling us to run courses in French. Etienne has adapted to the NZ lifestyle amazingly, he loves all outdoor sport, whether it’s soccer, biking, climbing and running (a marathon)
